In the past five years the WHA conference has rapidly grown in attendance and program content. Our attendees are diverse in their professions, specialties, and career stages, representing graduate and undergraduate students, independent and professional historians, public historians, writers, editors, higher education administrators, K-12 Educators, and other professions. By sharing your message through our ads and exhibits options, you can connect with WHA conference attendees and membership!


The WHA offers some of the lowest rates for advertising and exhibiting at professional meetings and is free of hidden costs. We offer complimentary coffee breaks in the exhibits ballroom on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings, which is a perfect way to network with exhibitors and hold meetings with potential authors. We also pride ourselves in offering the profession with one of the most friendly, inclusive, and diverse gatherings for the study of history in the country!

Ads and Exhibits Details for an Online Conference

As you may have heard, the WHA Council voted unanimously to move this year's conference to an online format. We still plan to meet in October, but for the safety of our members, vendors, affiliates, and staff we will gather in an online platform. What does this mean for advertisers and exhibitors?

Advertisements
Advertisements will remain the same. The WHA will print a program and send it to all WHA members in August. Conference registrants who are not members will receive their printed program in early October.

Exhibits
Exhibitors will be transferred to our new online conference platform Pheedloop, which is an online meeting tool designed to enhance the attendee's experience. Any exhibitor that reserved a double or triple booth will be automatically changed to a single booth price and refunded the the difference.

We know that the idea of a "virtual exhibit hall" (a web page with links) may not sound enticing. But the WHA is offering several additional perks that come with this this reservation. Read below for more information!

1. Virtual Swag Bags!
The WHA plans to send virtual swag bags to all conference registrants. The "swag" includes the highlighting of each exhibitor and direct links of any kind of advertising the exhibitor wishes to include.

2. Free Conference Registration!
Registration to the conference this year is free to all members. It is also free to all exhibitors. Our staff will provide you with more information about this.

3. 24-hour Exhibit Hall!
The WHA's exhibit hall will be open 24 hours a day throughout the conference and open for an entire year. Our staff will make several announcements to direct attendees to the hall in the weeks leading up to, during, and following the conference.

4. "Booth Hours: Now Open!"
With Pheedloop, you will be able to host "booth hours" where you can connect one-on-one with WHA attendees during the conference. An added bonus is that you can set your hours to meet your own schedule.

5. Extra Social Media!
As an exhibitor you will receive two social medial blasts through the WHA Facebook, twitter, and Instagram pages. You can tailor your message or ask that our staff does it for you, and we can schedule these for before, during, or after the conference.

6. No Extra Fees!
An online platform comes with many perks, but it is also a cost-effective way to reach a large audience. Your products, message, and content will be reached by all WHA attendees without the added costs of shipping, furniture rental, and travel.
