The 65th Annual Western History Association Conference will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico from October 15-18, 2025.

WHA Refund Policy:
Refunds will be issued for cancellations on registration for the Albuquerque conference received by midnight on September 15 (this includes cancelled registration and ticketed events). All refunds for cancelled registration received after September 15 and by/on October 6 will be honored, minus $40 handling fee (allow 2-4 weeks processing). No refunds will be issued after October 6. No refunds on food-related tickets will be honored after September 15.
Exhibitors:
Organizations and institutions that reserved a single booth in the exhibit hall will be allowed two complimentary conference registrations (double booth reservation will receive three; triple will receive four). These exhibitors/booth attendees must still register for the conference. Please contact the WHA staff to receive your registration discount code.

Registration and Onsite Rates: Beginning September 5

Pre-registration rates (discounted for members) are available until September 4, and full payment must be processed or postmarked by this date. Mailed registrations postmarked after September 4 will be processed with an onsite registration rate or your WHA account will have a balance due on it. The WHA office will not process registrations (online or mailed) that are not received by October 6. The online registration portal will close at 5:00 P.M. (Central) on October 6. If you need to register after October 6 you will need to do so in person at the conference between October 15-18.
*The CONTINGENT Faculty category includes those whose primary employment, whether full-time or part-time, is not on the tenure track.
**The WHA defines a GUEST as a family member or someone who would not attend the conference except to accompany a conference attendee. Each WHA conference attendee, regardless of membership category, must individually register - unless they qualify as a guest.
+Any personal assistants or interpreters needed for accessibility purposes will receive complimentary conference registration. Please notify the office ahead of time so the WHA staff can have a registration packet and name badge ready at onsite registration for them.
