The 2024 WHA President, Kelly Lytle Hernandez, established an Ad Hoc Indigenous Advisory Committee and appointed members to it. The Committee's Charge is to "recommend a set of best practices to strengthen the WHA's commitment to providing a compassionate, supportive, and diverse professional community for Indigenous persons and the study of Indigenous histories."
