UCO Department of History & Geography VAP Position Opening Native American History and Public History

The Department of History and Geography at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a visiting assistant professor in Native American history and public history to begin August 2018.

 

Successful candidates will be expected to teach a 4:4 load at all levels of the graduate and undergraduate curriculum. Fall courses include two sections of US History to 1877, Intro to American Indian Studies (online), and Women in the American West. Spring courses include US History to 1877, American Indian History, Oklahoma History, and Public History. The ability to incorporate digital media and methods into both teaching and projects is highly desirable. Ph.D. expected by time of employment. Completing the university’s eLearning Facilitation Certification online course will be required prior to the beginning of the fall semester.
